Send These 5 Emails To Increase Sales With Email Marketing

Increase sales with email marketing by sending these 5 essential emails. Discover why these emails outperform social media for driving conversions.

Forget about flashy social media campaigns—here’s why your sales strategy should start with these 5 essential emails. They will increase sales with email marketing!

Let’s face it—social media can feel like a never-ending hamster wheel. You’re constantly posting, liking, engaging, and chasing an algorithm that seems to change on a whim. But what if I told you that the key to consistent sales isn’t tied to your Instagram following or the latest viral trend? It’s in your inbox! That’s right—email marketing is the secret weapon you’ve been overlooking. Today I’m going to show you how to increase sales with email marketing.

Instead of constantly being on your phone “creating content”…

…You’re building genuine connections with your audience through thoughtfully crafted emails

And if I can let you in on a little secret, it’s this: the responses you get to your emails are so much more fun, honest and heartfelt and meaningful than the likes and comments you get on your social posts. Because they’re not performing inbox to inbox, whereas comments are still public. Email is a beautiful way to build more depth and connection with your audience.

What if you never had to post to social media again? Or at least stop putting so much pressure on it.
What if the emails you send make you more money than a thousand social media posts?
What if connecting with people who care about what you have to share could be as easy as pressing send on an email?
What if marketing could feel easier?

Enrolling more new clients becomes so easier with an engaged email list.

Why Email Marketing Is the Key to Increasing Sales

The average longevity of an Instagram post in the general feed is 48 hours. LinkedIn averages 24 hours. Facebook is about 5 hours. TikTok is just a few minutes! (Source: Jenna Kutcher). And then the content you worked so hard to create is dead.

Unlike social media, where algorithms dictate how often your content is seen, email marketing puts you directly in your audience’s inbox. This means you have a direct line of communication with potential client, allowing you to tailor messages that speak to their specific needs, desires, and pain points. Whether it’s through a welcome email that sets the stage for a long-term relationship or a targeted sales email that invites them to take the next step with you. Each message can be carefully crafted to drive action.

The beauty of email marketing lies in its ability to nurture leads over time. With the right strategy, you can guide your subscribers through a journey that not only educates and engages but also builds trust and credibility. This, in turn, makes them more likely to convert when they’re ready to make a purchase. Moreover, email marketing allows for detailed tracking of key metrics, enabling you to continually refine your approach for maximum impact. We live inn a world where customer attention is scattered across countless platforms. However, email remains a consistent, reliable, and highly effective way to increase sales and grow your business.

The good news is that you don’t need a massive following to make sales—just these 5 key emails that will transform how you increase sales with email marketing.

The 5 Emails To Send To Increase Sales With Email Marketing

The five essential emails for increasing sales with email marketing each play a crucial role in nurturing your audience and driving conversions. Let’s dive into each of them.

  1. The Welcome Email

The first impression counts, and a well-crafted Welcome Email does just that. It’s your chance to greet new subscribers, welcome them in, and set the tone for your relationship. You can reintroduce yourself, outline what they can expect, and that will help you establish trust and clarity from the outset. Offering a freebie or resource bundle adds immediate value, reinforcing their good decision to join your list and making them feel appreciated. Welcome email campaigns have a clickthrough rate four times higher than any other type of email, and read rates about 42% higher than other marketing emails. (Source: Active Campaign) So make sure you don’t miss out on this opportunity to deliver your lead magnet and integrate them into your brand community right away (automate it!), ensuring they stay engaged and interested from the start.

2. The Objection Handling Email

Every potential customer has doubts, and the Objection Handling Email is your opportunity to address them head-on. Make a list of all the reasons why people don’t buy. What do you hear on sales calls all the time? (Hint: “too expensive” and “not enough time” are on everyone’s list). Each objection can be an email. What do you hear? What makes it not true? How would you respond?

By anticipating these objections and addressing them directly, you can alleviate fears and demonstrate that you get it right where they’re at. This type of email builds credibility and demonstrates empathy and compassion, showing that you understand your audience’s pain points and have solutions ready. When done well, it turns hesitation into confidence, moving your subscribers one step closer to making a purchase.

3. The Social Proof Email

Nothing builds trust like seeing proof that others have had positive experiences with your offer. The Social Proof Email leverages testimonials, case studies, and success stories to show the tangible results your clients have achieved.

It’s a powerful way to reinforce the value of what you offer by letting your happy clients do the talking. This type of email not only builds credibility but also taps into the psychological principle of social proof, making potential buyers more likely to take action when they see that others have benefited from your expertise.

4. The ‘Imagine If…’ Email

This one is my favorite—both to write and to receive. This email is all about painting a picture of the future that is possible for your audience. By vividly describing what life could be like after using your product or service, you tap into their emotions and aspirations. The ‘Imagine If…’ Email helps your subscribers envision the transformation they seek. They get to feel in their bones that it is possible for them. And it creates a powerful connection between their dreams and what you offer! This approach not only motivates them but also makes the benefits of your offer feel more real and attainable.

5. The Sales Email

As much as I want you to become someone who loooves writing emails to your list, I also want you to make sales while doing it. The Sales Email is your direct invitation for your audience to take action. This email is where you get to clearly and confidently present your offer, reminding your subscribers of the value you provide and why they need it. By positioning it as the logical next step in your relationship, you make the decision to buy feel natural and timely. When used in an automated sequence, this email can work for you over and over again, converting subscribers into customers whenever you launch a new offer or campaign.

I recently saw an email in my inbox from a previous client. It sounded familiar. Then I realized that I wrote that for them YEARS ago. And it’s STILL performing for them today.

Hiring a copywriter for a launch isnt just about THIS launch. You’ll use those assets over and over again.

Because as much as you want to engage, educate and entertain your audience, you are also a business so you need to sell to them too. Be the leader and invite them into the next step with you.

How Do I Turn My Emails Into Sales?

Looking to increase sales with email marketing? It’s time to automate your email sequences. Imagine having a set-it-and-forget-it strategy that nurtures your leads, builds trust, and drives conversions. This allows you to focus on other aspects of your business. Email sequences are your secret weapon to creating a seamless customer journey, from the moment someone joins your list to their final purchase.

By automating well-crafted email sequences, you save time. It also ensures that your message reaches your audience at the right moment. This means fewer manual follow-ups and more consistent engagement with your subscribers. With each email carefully designed to guide your leads through the sales funnel—whether it’s through a welcome series, targeted content, or personalized offers—you can turn casual subscribers into loyal customers. Email sequences will grow your business while you maintain that genuine connection with your audience.

Key Metrics To Increase Sales With Email Marketing

Lastly, let’s talk about key metrics. Because if you’re automating these, you want to look at the data regularly to make sure that it’s still working for you. Because even an “evergreen” funnel still requires tweaks and maintenance to keep it working for you. Analyze which types of content perform best and which segments of your audience engage the most. Use this data to refine your email strategy, test new content ideas, optimize send times, and personalize messages for better results.

Don’t overwhelm yourself with all the KPIs. Just look at the ones that matter.

The first KPI you need to look at is your conversion rate. How many people are buying? Dont fix it if it’s not broken. If your conversion rate is lower than average, then look at CTR. The click through rate is a great indicator to tell you if your messaging is working. Remember: just sell the click, not the whole offer all at once.

Most people will tell you to track open rates, but depending on where you’re at in business, that’s not always a great indicator. If you are emailing with good content regularly, your subscribers will open the email regardless of how good the subject line is simply because it is YOU. Subject line swipe files are a great way to get started, but they are not gonna carry you all the way to where you want to go.

Once you know what you’re looking for, systematize it by creating an SOP for your VA to report the metrics you need to know on a regular basis. Because let’s be honest, you’re not going to prioritize going in the back end of your tech to dig for these numbers (even though they’re important!) when there are always a million other things to do in your business. Make it easy. This is not a CEO task, so outsource it. Your job is to make a decision based on the numbers, not to dig them out of your email service provider (ESP).
